Robert Eugene Helbig

Robert Eugene Helbig, 52, of Tamaroa, passed away at 11:47 P.M., Friday, August 2, 2002 at his residence.
Bob was owner-operator of his over the road trucking company. He was a member of the Tamaroa Baptist Church. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.
He was born December 2, 1949 at Madison, WI. His foster parents James and Cora Burnson raised him and preceded him in death.
He married Lisa Griffith on May 22, 1982 at Tamaroa, IL and she survives.	
He is survived by his wife Lisa of Tamaroa, children- Jason Eugene Helbig of Pinckneyville, Angela Renee Helbig of Tamaroa, Kimberly Renee Helbig-Stanhouse of Tamaroa, Robert James Helbig of Pinckneyville, Corey Matthew Helbig of Tamaroa, grandchild- Baylee Rose Kristen of Tamaroa, two sisters- Florence Parker of Steeleville, Nancy Trotter of Attica, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his foster parents.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Raymond Baggott officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
Military graveside rites were conducted by Du Quoin VFW Post 513.
Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society.
